
Mirza Selimović is a Senior Teaching Assistant at the International University of Sarajevo, where he is involved in teaching courses in software engineering and computer science. He holds degrees in Software Engineering, with his academic background focused on modern software development practices and technologies.
He is currently pursuing a PhD on the topic “Code Health Metrics and Security Vulnerabilities: An Empirical Study Across Programming Language Ecosystems”, in collaboration with a professor from Lund University. His doctoral research aims to provide empirical evidence on how code quality indicators relate to the presence of security vulnerabilities across different programming languages.
He is also involved in practical and research-oriented projects that aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry, helping students gain hands-on experience with real-world software development challenges.
